DRIF Walk 2017
The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) is the leading organization in searching for a cure for diabetes. It is committed to and passionate about helping those with the disease. It is supported by private philanthropy, which ensues the jumpstarting of new ideas and the continuation of innovative research projects that remain cure-focused. The DRIF was founded in 1971 by a small group of parents to children with diabetes, who were dedicated to finding a cure. Driven by a shared mission, they joined forces to support a promising research program at the University of Miami solely aimed at curing those living with diabetes.
On Saturday, March 4th, several Corradino staff members participated in the DRI Walk for Diabetes & Family Fun Day and the DRIHope4ACure 5K/10K Run at Marlins Stadium in efforts to show our support. The event was inspiring and filled with families championing for those affected by the disease. Marlins stadium was filled with over 6,000 people in attendance, including walkers, runners, and volunteers. Not only did we participate in the walk, but we also raised money prior to the event. The Corradino group enjoyed giving back and you can, too! For more information on how visit: diabetesresearch.org/get-involved.
