Project Description

Corradino was awarded by the Florida Department of Transportation the Project Development & Environmental (PD&E) study to complete an Environmental Assessment with the identification of a Locally Preferred Alternative for the integrated regional rail transit system on the FEC rail corridor from Jupiter, in Palm Beach County, through Broward County to downtown Miami - a distance of 85 miles.

The project includes an assessment of the corridor to operate commuter rail on tracks that will also have intercity passenger and freight services, locating 28 stations, and performing an alternatives analysis for an improved crossing of the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
