The Louisville Metro Public Works Selects Corradino for The Dixie Highway Improvement Project

Corradino was selected by Louisville Metro Public Works to provide design services for Phase 1 of the Dixie Highway Improvement Project. This work includes project development, preliminary design, and final design for roadway, sidewalk, streetscape, signals, traffic, and green infrastructure improvements for a 1.5 mile portion of Dixie Highway. Construction costs for this phase is $ 5.0 million.



Logistics Volume Forecasted to Grow in Genesee County

The Corradino Group, a national leader in transportation engineering has completed a report on growth opportunities in the freight movement and logistics industry in Genesee County. The results confirm that existing transportation strategies at the state, regional and local levels have positioned the region to take advantage of forecasted growth trends. The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce commissioned the report.

The Freight & Logistics study focused on three elements: first, an evaluation of the Genesee County freight market – existing and forecasts; local economic trends and targeted growth opportunities; and, measures of competitiveness; second, an evaluation of infrastructure that supports the region's ability to attract private-sector freight and logistics operations; and third, findings and recommendations to support the Flint & Genesee Chamber in their efforts to market major brownfield sites.

The report uses data from IHS Global Insight, which provides economic forecasts, industry analysis and market intelligence for a variety of industries worldwide as the primary information source used to analyze the most current (2009) and future (2030) freight flows in Genesee County.

Districtwide PIO and Compliance Reporting Contract

On April 22, 2013, The Corradino Group was awarded the Districtwide Continuing Services CEI Compliance and Support Contract for FDOT District 4. Through this contract, Corradino will provide all Public Information Officers, Compliance Support Specialists, and Graphic Design and Web Maintenance Support for existing and future projects in Broward, Palm Beach Counties and the Treasure Coast, for the next 5 years. Currently, Corradino has Public Information Officers overseeing contracts for the Broward and Palm Beach FDOT Operations Centers, I-595 Express in Broward, I-95 Widening Projects in the Treasure Coast, and the Las Olas Bridges Project in Fort Lauderdale.

Upcoming projects will include the new I-95 interchange at Spanish River Boulevard in Boca Raton, which will alleviate traffic congestion to the Florida Atlantic University Campus. Corradino is also providing Compliance Support on the I-595 Express and I-95 Widening projects, and Graphic Design and Web Maintenance throughout the District. Winning this $5 million contract is a testament to the hard work and support The Corradino Group has provided to FDOT District 4 for more than a decade in these fields.



I-69 in Indiana

I-69 and Corradino have been synonymous since the new interstate became a project in Indiana. To-date, Corradino has played a major role in four I-69 projects: Section 3/ Tier 2 EIS (Prime), Section 4/ Tier 2 EIS (subconsultant), Section 2 and 3/ Project Development (subconsultant), and, Section 4/ Project Development. INDOT has won two national awards for Corradino's Customer Service effort which Corradino's Indiana Team developed.

Now, Corradino is a major subconsultant to HNTB on Section 5, a 22-mile segment that runs along the existing alignment of SR 37 south of Bloomington, Indiana.

In addition to the general services required of the HNTB team as technical procurement advisor, Corradino will be responsible for: customer services, including "Kitchen Table" meetings, topographic surveying, preliminary engineering necessary for determining right-of-way limits for Area 2, from Vernal Pike to Walnut Street. This area includes mainline SR 37 improvements, two overpasses and frontage roads. Corradino will conduct Karst and geotechnical investigations services necessary for procurement documents, oversee environmental compliance, and participate in Value Engineering and the development of the Financial Plan.

Corradino's David Pluckebaum is the team's deputy project manager, responsible on a day-to-day basis for customer services for the 700 affected property owners. The customer services task involves coordinating all field activities.
