South Florida Water / Bridge Management Inspection Program

Project Description

Corradino performed inspections on 80 of the SFWMD's 350 plus structures (some of the largest surface water pump stations in the world). Corradino also managed the Bridge Service Program for the South Florida Water Management District. The District currently owns 32 bridges which provide access across SFWMD-owned canals and to SFWMD structures. Federal law and SFWMD policies require that each of these bridges be inspected every two years and any necessary repairs be performed. This work involved preparing inspection reports to detail the bridge condition and issues requiring repair. Based on these reports, Corradino then prepared engineering designs detailing corrective actions ranging from simple repairs to complete replacement. Corradino provided construction inspection and engineering oversight on the repair or replacement projects.
