I-75 Project Development and Environment Study

Project Description

I-75 is part of the Strategic Intermodal System and the Florida Intrastate Highway System which provide regional connectivity between southeast and southwest Florida. The I-75 project included addition of two reversible / managed lanes within the median of I-75, physically separated from the existing mainline lanes. These new lanes along I-75 are in the managed lanes network that is being developed by the Florida Department of Transportation. This includes managed lanes along I-595 to the north and the Palmetto Expressway to the south, as well as value-priced lanes along the Gratigny Expressway and the Sawgrass Expressway.
